Men feel the pressures of society just as much as women. Through my internet searches I have come across nothing that encourages body positivity in men. This needs to change.
Please, tell me of the struggles this dude faces as a white male. I’m really interested in hearing about the alternate reality that he inhabits.
WHAT A DUMBASS POST
CRY HARDER WHITE BOY
Booohooooo who says all girls wanna look like barbie dipshit
Whoa, whoa, whoa. Are you guys honestly saying that just because he’s a man and white? Are you fucking kidding me? You all do realize what you’re technically saying right? You’re pretty much saying that this guy has no right to be sad because there are people out there who have it worse. I thought that was one of the main things you never tell a person with depression, so why are any of you saying that here?
Seriously, what world do you guys live in? What if a white man was abused as a child? What if they were told that they were not good enough by their family and and the people around them? Do you think every white guy lives a life where everybody loves them, nobody thinks they’re ugly and they get everything they want by simply asking for it once? You have to be a fool to believe that.
Are you trying to tell me that a white person can’t be depressed because he has “privilege over everybody else”? Let me put it to you like this: Let’s say you have a white man who lost his job, is insecure about his body (because maybe he’s not very tall or muscular, which is what society today thinks a man should look like), and has no friends. Now let’s say you have a successful black business woman who is paid well, has a great social life, but also has depression. Which one of these two people has more right to be depressed? The answer: NEITHER!!!! Because depression is not always about how successful you are in life or what you have. Depression is feeling that you’re not a good enough person no matter who you are and how hard you try.
All of you that contributed to the above commentary should be ashamed of yourselves. There are people out there, including white boys, who hate themselves because of their looks. They will self harm just like anybody else with self hate issues but none of you care. All you care about is their gender and skin color. I’d hate to see what any of you would say if you ever met a cutter that happened to be a white guy. What would you say when he shows you his scars? Will you laugh at his face? What if he told you that he attempted suicide? Would roll your eyes at him?
None of you are any better than those racist and sexist people you claim to hate so much. You don’t want equality. You want anybody that shares physical similarities with the “oppressor” to feel like shit. You want people to be looked down upon because of the their race and gender; two things they have no control over. How is that any better than someone belittling a Black/Hispanic/Asian/etc person because of a broad and untrue generalization?
I’ve come to realize this important fact: Tumblr isn’t the safe haven for logical people that so many want to claim it is. It’s full immature, hypocritical , and ignorant people just like any other website. I don’t care if I lose followers because of this. This has to stop.^

i’m sick of cultural dishes getting butchered by “innovative” crackers
i’m sick of traditional foods getting destroyed and my culture being chipped away at
Tragedy struck Earth tonight as China, an ancient civilization with a rich history and culture, was completely and utterly annihilated by a woman’s lunch. The culture began to violently disintegrate as Patty Henderson (Whitesville, Ohio) cut up a hot dog and added it to her mapo doufu. The popular Chinese dish had remained the same for thirty thousand years, not changing with the tastes of the communities that ate it, unlike every other fucking plate of food in history. Henderson’s additions to the meal quickly destabilized the recipe, creating a temporal paradox that removed Chinese culture from history. “She literally erased our culture” said Jenn Chiang, as the space-time anomaly tore her body apart on an atomic level.

Copyright Suit Against Tumblr May Affect All Photo Sharing Sites
Back in 2006, a pornography publishing company named Perfect 10 attempted to sue Google over copyright infringement, claiming that the thumbnails displayed on Google’s image search did not fall under “fair use.” Ultimately, the Supreme Court wouldn’t even hear the case, allowing the ruling that thumbnails are fair use to stand and handing Perfect 10 yet another loss (they’ve sustained many in this area). Now, however, Perfect 10 is at it again and this time they might win. This suit is against the blogging/sharing platform Tumblr, claiming that the website ignored six separate take-down notices and that Tumblr employees knowingly posted infringing content. The major concern with this lawsuit is that if the courts rule in Perfect 10′s favor, the repercussions for all sharing platforms (read: Pinterest, Twitpic, etc.) could big; essentially opening up a potential pandora’s box of copyright infringement cases.
A trial date hasn’t been set yet, nor has Tumblr responded in any form or fashion regarding the case, but this is one that everybody should follow closely — especially since Tumblr could drag users into the fray very easily. Back in 2006 Google had a strong case for why its thumbnails were fair use, but Tumblr won’t have it nearly as easy.

The odds that Tumblr employees uploaded porn as a way to convince people to join the site are slim to nil — you need evidence to make a claim like that, and the filing doesn’t have any. Also, as TechDirt notes, Perfect 10 seemingly goes out of its way to make its DMCA notices impossible to respond to, by filing them in cumbersome ways — ways which, by the way, courts have blocked in the past. That said, though, this is a story to keep an eye on.
